Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) membatalkan rencana agenda ceramah di tiga provinsi yakni Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur dan DI Yogyakarta terkait beberapa ancaman dan intimidasi. Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) membeberkan siapa UAS sebenarnya.

Persekuasi terhadap kegiatan tausiyah UAS bukan sekali terjadi. Beberapa kasus sempat menghebohkan. Awal Desember 2017, saat ingin melakukan ceramah di Bali, ustaz asal Pekanbaru Riau itu diminta mengikrarkan janji dan sumpah setia di atas Alquran kepada Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI).

Pada akhir Juli 2018, ceramahnya di Semarang juga ditolak oleh sejumlah ormas. Penolakan tersebut disampaikan perwakilan ormas Patriot Garuda Nusantara (PGN), FKPPI, Laskar Merah Putih, serta Banser NU Kota Semarang. PGN mensinyalir sosok Abdul Somad yang terkait dengan organisasi terlarang Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI).

Rangkaian persekusi terhadap UAS membuat Organisasi Internasional Alumni Al Azhar (OIAA) prihatin. Ketua Umum OIAA Cabang Indonesia Zainul Majdi alias Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) membeberkan siapa Abdul Somad sesungguhnya. Dilansir Republika, Senin (3/8/2018), sosok UAS adalah dai dan ulama alumni Al Alzhar, berpegang teguh pada ajaran Islam yang benar sesuai paham Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah sekaligus mengedepankan semangat Wasathiyat al-Islam (moderasi Islam).

Materi-materi dakwah UAS yang tersebar di media sosial menunjukkan kiprahnya menyadarkan masyarakat tentang ajaran agama Islam yang benar dan memberikan pemahaman kebangsaan dan keindonesiaan. TGB menilai, UAS sering kali menyentuh masyarakat di desa-desa terpencil yang sulit dijangkau oleh ulama yang lain. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kepedulian UAS terhadap masyarakat pedesaan sangat besar.

TGB meminta masyarakat dapat mengedapankan persaudaraan Islam. Tidak perlu memberi ruang sekecil apapun terhadap tindakan intimidasi, teror dan tuduhan yang tidak berdasar.

UAS, Arifin Ilham dan Kapolri

Kasus UAS memang menarik untuk dicermati terutama terkait tudingan radikal dan anti-NKRI. Nyatanya, UAS bahkan kerap diundang di depan petinggi negara untuk berceramah, mulai dari Wakil Presiden Jusuf Kalla, Mabes TNI AD, sampai di gedung DPR/MPR RI. Namun beragam undangan dan bantahan UAS seperti tak berpengaruh terhadap para pembencinya. Apalagi UAS sempat digadang-gadang menjadi calon wakil presiden Prabowo Subianto. Tawaran yang akhirnya ditolaknya.

UAS adalah seorang warga negara Indonesia. Saatnya kepolisian untuk tampil terdepan dalam melindungi hak-hak segenap warga dalam menyuarakan pendapat di muka umum.
